Meet our 2023 WOW Speakers

Sue Garrett

Last year, my daughter Amy suggested that I start sharing instructional cooking videos on Facebook.  We had no idea how much it would grow over time and how many precious people would begin following along on my cooking adventures.

Harold and I have been married 49 years in June.  We both are retired school teachers.  I taught elementary school for 20 years and was Assistant Principal for 5 years.  We have two children, Amy, who is married to Shawn.  They have 3 boys, Keith, Zack, and Griffin.  Chris, our son, is married to Amy. (We have two Amy's).  They have 6 children, Breanna, Maddie, Emma, Maelee, Bryce, and our baby Blake.  We are very blessed.

Our 8-year-old Chicweenie, Scout, is our baby.  He is spoiled but brings us much joy.

Erin Davis

Erin Davis is an author, blogger, and speaker who loves to see women of all ages run to the deep well of God’s Word. She is the author of many books and Bible studies including: Fasting & Feasting, 7 Feasts, Connected, Beautiful Encounters, and the My Name Is Erinseries. She serves on the ministry team of Revive Our Hearts. When she’s not writing, you can find Erin chasing chickens and children on her small farm in the Midwest.

Lisa (Cangelosi) Brown

Lisa (Cangelosi) Brown left a career in the entertainment industry more than a decade ago even though her interest in the performing arts spanned over half of her life. She toured while in High School with “Up with People” began her career as a commercial actor and eventually landed her first leading role , playing Robert Vaughn’s daughter in the western, “Dust to Dust” (1994). On TV she starred with Tiffani Thiessen in “She Fought Alone” (1995). She later appeared in “Bruce Almighty” (2003) as well. She also sang with a girl group trio “Sirens”.

After September11th terrorist attacks, she began questioning the importance of the entertainment industry as a whole and started spending more time pursuing God. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and has not looked back.

She met her husband, news anchor Joe Brown while pursuing TV advertising in Texas, where she fell in love and married her soul mate. Lisa and Joe attended Brazos Fellowship Church - where Lisa both worked as well as sang lead vocals in the worship band every Sunday. For her, using her voice to honor, worship and praise God finally brought an understanding as to why He gave her this gift. She considers this more worthwhile than all of her other performances combined.

Joe and Lisa had 11 years, 2 months and 2 days of a very happy marriage. But tragically, Joe was diagnosed with Stage 4 gallbladder cancer on Valentine day 2019. He never received earthly healing but was ultimately healed when he passed into Glory on 12/6/2019. Lisa has struggled at times to find a new purpose in her life. However, through our Lord’s peace “that surpasses all understanding,” the grief she has endured, strengthened her faith and has given her a passion for reaching those who are questioning their faith as she did. It’s all about furthering His kingdom.
